Nichrome wire is made of a non-magnetic alloy composed primarily of nickel, chromium, and iron. Nichrome is characterized by its high resistivity and good oxidation resistance. Nichrome wire also has good ductility after use and excellent weldability. Cr20Ni80 belongs to a kind of electro thermal alloy. Which has stable structure and electrical physical performance in addition, good high temperature mechanical property, fine cold plastic deformation and weldability, as a result of which it cannot have the brittle fracture due to long term use. The alloy is widely used in manufacturing the household appliance and heating elements below the working temperature of 1000C.
